

The home sleep studies are limited in functionally and don't look at the whole picture, because they're only supposed to be given to patients where they don't think the issue is serious because they don't have any pre-existing conditions. I do want to give you some cautionary advice though, just to make sure you're aware: the literature for the relatively new home sleep study methods emphasize patients with existing cardiovascular issues need to have the legit, overnight study where they hook you up to all of the different machines for monitoring, so they can get a much more accurate reading about what's happening, especially how your heart and lungs are functioning.

I'm glad you're getting a sleep study done! That sounds like sleep apnea, which can be caused by dysautonomia.
